One of our daughters ran in the Castle Howard 10K in aid of Cancer Research UK on Sunday, the atmosphere was great as was the weather!

Carabosse fire installations at the Hull Freedom Festival
Hull’s Fruit Market based in the city’s Humber Street area came alive on Friday night as the Hull Freedom festival 2009 burst into life, the highlight for me being French company ‘Carabosse’ who brought their fantastic sculptures and fire installations.

Wow, as part of the clipper race entertainment the Humber Street area of Hull has been illuminated with lanterns supplied by a French company, and what a fantastic spectacle they are.
Clipper Race 2009 – Day One Hull Marina
Day one of the Clipper Race weekend, well for me anyway. Took a walk around the marina in the sunshine and made a few images and mental notes, I plan to visit on Friday evening to see the lanterns that have been assembles in the Humber Street area. they should look really dramatic at twilight.
