Hull’s Fruit Market based in the city’s Humber Street area came alive on Friday night as the Hull Freedom festival 2009 burst into life, the highlight for me being French company ‘Carabosse’ who brought their fantastic sculptures and fire installations.

Day one of the Clipper Race weekend, well for me anyway. Took a walk around the marina in the sunshine and made a few images and mental notes, I plan to visit on Friday evening to see the lanterns that have been assembles in the Humber Street area. they should look really dramatic at twilight.
