No Parking

No Parking

This rather dramatic shot shows how the road is literally falling into the sea due to coastal erosion at Aldbrough on the East Yorkshire coast. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it

75m

75m

Thees quaint cottages stand about 75 meters from the crumbling clay cliffs at Aldbrough on the East Yorkshire coast. At the current rate of erosion they probably have very little time left. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it

A nation falling into the sea

A nation falling into the sea

I wouldn’t want to stay in that caravan! I called in to the cliff edge at Aldbrough on the East Yorkshire Coast today to photograph the coastal erosion. The clay cliffs here are eroding as an alarming rate especially in the winter months. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it

Every street should have one

Withernsea Lighthouse is unusually situated a quarter of a mile inland nestled among houses and considering the rate of costal erosion on the East Yorkshire coast thats no bad thing. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it

I stumbled across this image from a motorcycle touring holiday we had in 2007, I’m not sure of the name of the port, I know its on Irelands south coast near Youghal, so if anyone can enlighten me. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it

Soon be Summer

I remember the morning I took this shot, early August in the town I grew up in, Hornsea on the East Yorkshire Coast, blue sea and hot sun! Summer seems a long way off but it will soon be with us. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it

Going Fishing

Going Fishing

I’ve written on the blog before about the ‘fun’ of photography, just grabbing your camera and going for a walk, something I do regularly, to my mind its food for the creative soul. This shot shows fishing floats used to mark lobster and crab pots. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet [...]
