My Withernsea Photograph ended up on flickr Explore!

I’ve visited the East Yorkshire Coast 3 times over the last week, the winter weather has been great for photography and especially for creating B&W images. This picture shows the beach at Withernsea, I also posted this image on my flickr feed and was delighted to see it featured on flickr Explore which shows a [...]
Bright & Shiny in Mappleton

Passing Mappleton this morning with a few minutes to spare I parked in the cliff edge car park and took a few pictures. As usual at this time of year the coastal erosion is at its most vicious. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it
Hornsea Beach in Winter

I’ve been in Hornsea today and had a short walk on the beach, many of the local fishing boats were out working leaving their tractors and trailers awaiting their return Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it

3 Years

Three years separate the top image (2012) from the bottom image (2009). At first glance not a lot has changed but if you look at the white building on the top left of the frame the exterior wall has now gone leaving an interior doorway. 75m

Thees quaint cottages stand about 75 meters from the crumbling clay cliffs at Aldbrough on the East Yorkshire coast. At the current rate of erosion they probably have very little time left. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it
A nation falling into the sea

I wouldn’t want to stay in that caravan! I called in to the cliff edge at Aldbrough on the East Yorkshire Coast today to photograph the coastal erosion. The clay cliffs here are eroding as an alarming rate especially in the winter months. Bookmark on Delicious Recommend on Facebook Share on Linkedin Tweet about it
