Like most photographers over the years I have shot a lot images purely for pleasure, now the internet allows me to post many of them. This picture shows the Arctic Corsair sailing under the name of Arctic Cavalier, she was being surveyed and restored to become a permanent reminder to Hull past fishing industry. She is now moored on the river Hull connected to the cites streetlife museum were she can be toured. Long term the vessels future looks unsure as the river is tidal and she dry’s out twice a day, these deep sea ships are not designed to sit in the mud!
It would be great to sea the Arctic Corsair berthed in the now redundant dry dock at the mouth of the river Hull near The Deep, were she would be out of the water, off the mud and no doubt around for may years to come.
